This week in Year 1, we have finished our last full week of learning. The children have been working hard writing their instructions in English and learning the name and properties of 2D and 3D shapes in maths. We had our Christmas dinner of Wednesday and created origami hats for the occasion. On Wednesday afternoon, our Year 5 buddies came and read their Christmas stories to Year 1 that they’ve been working on over the last few weeks. Some of the children have been in the outside area trying to find different ways how to melt the snow and ice. We have also been making Christmas decorations and cards as part of our DT lessons, learning about sliders and levers. We look forward to seeing you on Monday for our rearranged Christmas performance.
