We welcomed Year 3 to Key Stage 2 and to their new Ash and Elm classrooms.
In English we are practising our handwriting skills ready for our possible new pen permits. We have been writing some comical limericks and we are now rising to the challenge of writing our own set of instructions.
In Maths we started the year by focussing on place value which we are beginning to apply to addition and subtraction.
In Science we are investigating different types of rocks and learning about their properties. In the second half of the term we will be moving onto explore light.
During our Computing lessons we are learning the skills to be programmers by designing and creating our own animations on Scratch.
In History we are examining the Stone Age through cross curricular links by developing our own cave painting skills and building a Woolly Mammoth.
Throughout our RE lessons this term we will be building positive relationships by learning more about Christianity and Muslims.
In PE lessons we will be practising touch Rugby skills and developing our skill set in Gymnastics.
We are looking forward to a busy but exciting Autumn term.
