In Science this term, we are studying plants and how they grow and function. We performed a class experiment using just a celery stem and red food colouring. First, we predicted what would happen if we left the celery stem in the red water overnight. After a day, we observed the stem to see how water is transported up the plant’s stem. We cut the celery in half to see the water could still transport through the plant in the stem like a tunnel!
