Hope you’ve had a nice Christmas and we look forward to a busy Spring Term.
In English we are continuing to practise our handwriting skills ready for our new pen permits. We have been writing some different forms of poetry and are moving onto Non Chronological reports about Stonehenge. Later in the term we will be writing our own alternate Fairy tale.
In Maths this term we are focussing on mastery, helping the children to apply their knowledge to fluency, reasoning and problem solving.
In Science we are investigating Animals including Humans by looking at balanced diets and skeletons. In the second half of the term we will be moving onto forces.
During our Computing lessons we are learning the skills to be Presenters by designing and creating our own News Report about the Amesbury Archer, which links to our Topic work.
In History we are examining the Bronze Age through cross curricular links. In Art we are developing our pottery skills using techniques from the Bronze Age.
Throughout our RE lessons this term we will be building positive relationships by learning more about Christianity and the links to Easter. In PE lessons we will be Swimming at Hitchin Swimming Centre.
Parents are invited to attend our Spring Term Outcome on Thursday 30th March 2017 at 1.45pm to 3.00pm.
We are looking forward to a busy but exciting Spring Term.
