Welcome back Year 3!
Summer Term 2018
In English we have begun the summer term by exploring the book ‘Frog Belly Rat Bone’, and have already produced some amazing written work ready for our end-of-year exhibition! We will move on to study instruction texts and persuasive writing.
In Maths, we have developed our understanding of fractions and written multiplication. We will continue to work on our reasoning skills by tackling a wide range of problems, and will explore time.
In Science we are investigating plants and have been growing a range of flower and vegetable seedlings ready for the Cementland allotment.
During our Computing lessons we are practising our control skills using the Makey Makey kits. This is linked to our work in Design and Technology, where we will be creating our own computerised devices and marketing them.
In Geography we will be conducting fieldwork around the school looking at weather patterns and comparing them to other parts of Europe.
Throughout our RE lessons this term we will be building positive relationships by learning more about Christianity and Islam.
In PE lessons we will be developing our skillset in gymnastics and playing a range of ball games.
We are looking forward to a busy but exciting Summer term!
