Our Learning > Our Classes

A Year 4 Class Post

Year 4 Autumn 2 Week 3

This week as writers, we have started exploring non0chronological reports and their features. Then we started gathering information about Pompeii and the eruption of Mt Vesuvius to help us start writing our very own reports.

As mathematicians, we have started learning our 9x multiplication and division facts. We then explored the link between multiples of 3, 6 and 9.

As scientists, we have continued learning about electricity and simple circuits. We learnt the difference between a complete and incomplete circuit. We then used our predicting skills to determine if we thought a circuit was complete or not. Finally we tested our predictions using the equipment.

As digital learners we have learnt all about plagiarism and created posters to show explain what plagiarism is.

As geographers, we continued exploring longitude and latitude and used this to help us find the locations of cities in the UK.

We also really enjoyed our week of bearpees and coming into school in non-uniform to raise money for children in need!
