So, as you know, last week was Year 4’s trip to Kingswood in West Runton, Norfolk. Although we totally exhausted ourselves, we had an absolutely fantastic time from start to finish. In order to gain the most out of each activity, we had to use life skills such as; perseverance, determination, collaboration, resilience, problem solving and using our mindfulness techniques to overcome our fears. Through this, some of us found that the activity that we had originally feared the most was the activity that we actually learnt the most from.
From talking about their experiences in class this morning, it is clear that the impact of this trip has caused children to become aware of how capable they really are. Hopefully, this leads all involved to remember to trust in themselves and their abilities. For us adults, it was wonderful to watch all the children grow a little more each day.
