A Year 4 Class Post

Year 4 Week 5

This week as writers, we have started reading the text ‘Stitch Head’. We used our writing skills to help us describe the castle, and the the character of Stitch Head.

As mathematicians we have learnt how to multiply 3 numbers together (e.g. 3 x 5 x 6) by first multiplying 2 factors together, then multiplying the product by the remaining factor.

As scientists, we have continued learning about simple circuits, this time focusing on investigating which materials are insulators and which are conductors.

As historians, we learnt about the Roman invasion of Britain and how they were so successful in this. We worked in groups to create Roman shields and then tried them out by making our very own ‘testudo’ (tortoise shield formation).
