Welcome to the new Year 5 Maple and Walnut classes!
We have all had a relaxing break over the summer and we’ve hit the ground running in our first days back at school. To start, we have taken it back to basics, returning to Place Value in Maths and expanding our vocabulary in English. We know that, sometimes, we have to take learning backwards in order to push it forwards. We have also begun our Geography topic about modern North America and linked our art learning to this through studying artists who paint a picture of the Native Americans. It’s safe to say, we’re feeling inspired and looking forward to engaging in our learning for the foreseeable future!
