This term year 6 has been learning about Buddhism in RE and this week we explored the celebration of Wesak – an important and vibrant Festival. We visited six different countries around the classroom and researched the different traditions of this celebration. We found that there are similarities between the way different communities celebrate, but also quite a lot of diversity and varied cultural traditions. By representing our learning on a map of Asia, we also reviewed some of geographical knowledge.
