Rehearsals are now well underway for Bugsy Malone. The props people are doing a great job under the expert guidance of Ms Thrussell and Mrs McNish and the acting and singing are going from strength to strength.
We enjoyed a wonderful production of The Jungle Book by M and M productions this morning. After the impressive show, Year 6 had a workshop session with the team who explained all back stage tricks of the trade and gave some tips on effective acting which may well come in useful as our own rehearsals progress.
Beech conducted their Geography Field Studies questionnaire in Hitchin town centre; the Spruce visit had to be cancelled on Thursday due to the rain but we will definitely reschedule for the near future.
Curiosity Time at lunch is proving to be extremely popular and enjoyable; the children are showing highly creative ways of using all the wonderful equipment that we now have. Once again, the weather has been a bit of a dampener but we have tried to get the children outside at every opportunity!
We shall be sending a couple of pieces of learning home today to occupy the children during the unavoidable school closure on Monday 15th.
