This week as writers, we have explored the book ‘Leon and the Place Between’. We designed our very own circus and created a persuasive piece of writing to get people to come to it. We also used a ‘decision alley’ to help us decide whether to persuade for or against a character going to the place between.

As mathematicians, we have continued developing our understanding of place value by estimating numbers on a number line and comparing 4 digit numbers. We played a competitive game where we rolled a dice and had to decide on the place value of the number rolled. We then had to build the biggest number and compare it to our partner’s number.

As scientists, we explored how we hear sounds. We conducted three different experiments to see if sound travelled through solids (tapping under a table), liquids (listening to stones being tapped together under water) and gases (talking through a balloon).

As digital learners, we have been learning about hardware. We learnt about different hardware parts and created posters showing their jobs.

As geographers, we started our learning on Europe. We explored maps of Europe and used them to help us identify different countries.

As artists, we created our own still life scenes and used our drawing skills to draw them.
